LABORATORY MANAGER

 

OUR CLIENT

Our client is an advanced technological petrochemical, research, and development company located in Southwest Louisiana.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is accountable for developing and deploying the Company’s strategy for Quality improvement including, but not limited to, managing the onsite lab and establishing a full continuous improvement culture and corresponding actions across the organization. 

​

REQUIREMENTS

  • 15 years minimum experience preferred in industrial Operations and Quality Control roles

  • Extensive experience implementing ISO programs and related work processes and policies

  • Hands-on laboratory experience required

  • Knowledge of and experience with all laboratory equipment including, but not limited to, Gas chromatography (GC), Gas Spectrometry-Mass Spectrometry (GS/MS), and general analysis equipment and methods required

  • Experience developing and implementing continuous improvement processes

  • Proven operations or quality supervisory experience required

  • Ability to manage, motivate, coach, and work with other people to accomplish Company and department objectives

  • Excellent people skills, including the ability to handle disgruntled customers; ability to work with diverse personalities

  • Excellent computer skills, including superior experience with MS Office Suite, various email and internet programs and applications, and other programs generally used in the performance of work envisioned here

  • Fluent in the English language including reading, writing, and speaking; ability to read and write at a minimum of high school level; ability to clearly communicate with all levels in the organization

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or other technical fields

  • ISO Auditor and/or Six Sigma certifications highly desired
